THE
DOG JOG
ONE VET.
ONE ISLAND.
ONE EXTRAORDINARY MISSION.
For more than a decade, WECare has been providing life-saving veterinary care to Sri Lanka's street dogs. But demand continues to grow, and our current facilities can no longer keep pace.
The new hospital will allow us to treat more animals, expand rehabilitation, train the next generation of veterinary professionals and raise the standard of animal welfare across Sri Lanka.
The Dog Jog is helping make that future possible.

THE
DOG JOG
ONE VET.
ONE ISLAND.
ONE EXTRAORDINARY MISSION.
ONE CHALLENGE. ONE TEAM.
HOWEVER MANY KILOMETRES.
Challenge your team to collectively cover Janey’s 620km, compete between departments, organise a company-wide step challenge or let everyone choose their own activity.
With no fixed distance or fitness requirement, everyone can get involved — making it perfect for office-based, remote, hybrid and international teams.
Encourage colleagues to fundraise and your business could make their efforts go even further through matched giving.
Big idea or small one - make it yours.

PUT YOUR BUSINESS
BEHIND THE DOG JOG.
This October, WECare founder and vet Dr Janey Lowes is travelling 620km across Sri Lanka on foot, raising funds to build WECare’s new veterinary hospital, rehabilitation centre and veterinary training centre.
And we want businesses around the world to be part of it.
Take on the Virtual Dog Jog with your team, match their fundraising, or join us as an official Dog Jog partner.

Do it in a day, over a weekend or throughout October. Take part alone, with friends, family, colleagues - or your dog!

The Route
From the heat of the northern plains to the steep climbs of the central highlands and back down to the southern coast, this route is designed to test every ounce of determination.
But Janey won't be running it alone. Along the way, she'll be joined by supporters, runners and special guests (including fellow animal advocate Niall Harbison) with every step helping shine a light on the future Sri Lanka's street dogs deserve.
